Sem Yaw Oteng is a businessman based in Accra, hailing from Adausena, New Abirem, Old Abirem, and Mamanso. He is a royal member of the Adjenua family. He currently serves as a Board member of the Zijin Akyem Development Foundation and as the Managing Director of Sasem Enterprise, he oversees a sole proprietorship involved in the supply of herbal products both within Ghana and internationally. The business also provides live band services for engagements, weddings, and funerals, as well as printing services including embroidery designs, banners, and screen printing.
Sem Oteng is also the CEO of Sasem Pharmaceutical, which operates a chain of drug stores and pharmacy shops in the Greater Accra and Central Regions of Ghana. Sasem Pharmaceutical imports pharmaceutical products from India. Additionally, he serves as the Executive Chairman of Sasem Group Ltd., a company that produces herbal products such as Freshman capsules, Hapiman capsules, Freshladi capsules, Freshkoo capsules, Fresh herbal mixture, and Kana herbal mixture. All products are registered with the Food and Drugs Authority and have advertisement approval. Sasem Group Ltd. is also involved in construction and related projects.
Sem Oteng graduated from New Abirem Secondary School, Koforidua Technical University (HND in Marketing), and the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) with a BSc in Marketing. He is affiliated with several professional bodies and holds various professional certificates. Currently, he is the President of the Old Students Association of New Abirem Afosu Senior High. He also serves as a marketing and media consultant to numerous companies and is a board member of several organizations. A Christian, Sem Oteng is married with three children and owns a 50-acre palm plantation farm.
